Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actress best recognized for her role as detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue, for which she earned an Emmy Award. Also, she is known for her role in the drama series All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. She was born as the only child to a top executive from the United Auto Workers and a homemaker Delaney was raised with four brothers. She dreamed of being a reporter for the court in her early years, but began modeling in high school and eventually gaining commercials when she moved to New York. Her first role as an actor was as a teenager as a child in All My Children, a soap-opera from 1981. Delaney is an acclaimed actress, appearing involved in numerous television dramas, and TV films. Personally, her professional has not had a happy and successful. The actress, who is talented and gorgeous, has struggled with drinking before. The marriages she has had ended in failure two times. In 2005, she lost custody of her only son.
